About Me

Adventure seeker with a particular love for exploring CAMBODIA and its incredible history, culture and people. My first trip out there was in 1994, a white-knuckle ride of an adventure that hooked me for life. I have returned each year since, on the hunt for long-lost ancient temples in the Cambodian countryside, but also to meet up with my Khmer friends too. Though Cambodia has much to offer visitors, its the welcome and warmth of its people that are its greatest attraction. I now live & work in Phnom Penh. If I can help you with anything Cambodia-related, just ask.....Music lover with a consuming interest in reggae legends, STEEL PULSE and lots more bands and individuals ranging from the maestro Ennio Morricone to Roy Hill/Cry No More to Yaz Alexander to Gabbidon to Tony Hinnigan/Incantation to Black Roots to Percy Dread/The Natural-Ites to Billy Bragg to Strawbs and so on. I'm particularly proud to host the web's largest unofficial archive on Steel Pulse and welcome input from any other Pulseheads in cyberspace......I'm a book-worm with a serious interest in books on Cambodia and Southeast Asia, and much more besides.....I'm also a football and sports fan, in particular a life-time supporter of Leeds United and more locally, Kidderminster Harriers. My creaking bones have meant that I've now given up playing regularly and have reverted to spectating......For a greater insight into my interests, particularly my travelogues and photos from my visits to Cambodia and my insatiable interest in Steel Pulse, go to my website at:.... http://ANDYBROUWER.CO.UK...... Also have a look at my Phnom Penh adventures via my updated daily Blog at http://ANDYBROUWER.BLOGSPOT.COM.
