I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I write. I'm a mom. I like to read Scientific American. That about says it all about me.
My first novel, Annabelle's Shoes is about demons and rock stars and what an unfortunate mix that can be. Though really, if you think about it do demons mix well with anyone?
My second novel The Devil in the Details is a secular version of apocalyptic literature from the 2nd century, specifically the Christian Bible's Book of Revelation.
My third novel is just about finished and it is about stalkers. Plural. Stalkers stalking stalkers. You get the idea.
I am also the cranky, ex-punk housewife who writes music reviews for Nada Mucho .

My Interests

physics, writing, knitting, sewing, math, neurophysiology, horses, my dogs, being a parent, reading, the psychology of serial killers and sociopaths, abnormal psychology, basketball, languages, immunology, music, playing piano, playing banjo

I'd like to meet:

New friends who are nice, quirky, fun and unusually smart. One can never have too many friends. People who'd like to buy my books would be nice too.

Music:

bluegrass, old punk, classical, opera, R&B, jazz, lounge ... just about everything except young country (ick-pooey)

Movies:

The Usual Suspects, The Crying Game, Room with a View, Philadelphia Story, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Love Actually, The Princess Bride, Fight Club, Hitch

Television:

I am not cut out to be an events coordinator

Baby beluga in the deep goddamn sea

I am cursed with having a Rafi song stuck in my head. Mostly because my daughter sings it all the time. I'm impressed that she can remember the words to the whole song at age 3, but it's still torturo...

sad

I just found out this morning that an old friend of mine killed himself three days ago. I think the worst part for me is that I don't understand. He was a great person. He loved his children and he e...

calling out for a national moment of pity

I'm sick and I would like to hear all of my readers in unison say, "Oh, you poor thing!"I try to stay away from self-pity for my own peace of mind, but I was awake most of the night with such a horrib...
