What could be a more fitting start to a career in music than a little girls wish on cotton ball clouds in a 3rd grade art class? The simple words 'I want to be a singer' represented a grand dream that would unknowingly guide Nadia through a life of diverse musical experience.
Growing up in NYC and pushed to play piano by her dad at age 9, she quickly found that she loved singing more than long hours practicing piano. By age 11 she would be a finalist in a talent contest that aired on Italian television. With a taste of success in her young mind and a desire to improve her self, Nadia attended two years of opera training to further improve her voice! At age fourteen she attended a private music school for another three years rounding out her opera skills with a pop edge and giving her a chance to perform out live; all before Nadia had even turned eighteen!
Never able to stay in one place for long, Nadia joined a girl group practicing and working at Tikki Studios for almost a year and then went solo honing her writing skills with producer and bassist William 'Bossy' Floyd, the results of which culminated in 'That Way'. In 2002 she worked with writer/musician/producer Don Avalon, producing the tracks, 'Little Girl', 'Amount of Love', and 'Angels All Around'.
In the beginning of 2005, she met veteran producer Michael Priestley with the sole intent of simply finishing and mixing her older tracks. However, their efforts results in a collection of new songs. Nadias skillful song crafting bolstered by Michaels production background resulted in a creative synergy and the music flowed, Covering a wide spectrum of emotion, dynamics, and style. keep checking her site at www.nadiahope.com for new music!
