Lord, where do I start? How do I remember them all? I LOVE CLOTHES! SHOES! JEWELRY! MAKEUP! FASHION! I love going out dancing, entertaining the multitudes, and being around people. BUT, I ALSO insist on my privacy. I love my old house, where I can get away from people when I want. It's my Haven. Don't just drop by. Call first. I love working in the yard, inside the house also. I have been restoring this hundred year old house for four years now. I enjoy reading great books, painting, and I am working on my own book now. I love to travel, I want to see everything that I can while I'm around. I love art galleries, museums, amusement parks, fairs, flea markets, malls, so many things and places! So many interests...
I'd like to meet:
Oh... basically anyone who has their head together. First off, I can't handle self centered fools. Don't like thieves, liars, and parasites. And DON'T THINK that I am gullible, naive, or even dim witted. Nothing could be further from the truth than that. If you have ideas on using me for anything, or getting anything over on me, keep walking. There is something else that I don't care for, all of the TOTAL STRANGERS on "My Space" who are SO INTO having lists of so called "FRIENDS", that number in the hundreds. Who do these people think they are fooling? Someone ACTUALLY has 988 personal friends all over the WORLD? If you look at my number of friends, it is small. THAT is because those people that I have added, ARE my friends. I know them personally, and care for them. WHY would I want to ADD a TOTAL STRANGER, way far away, in some remote location as a FRIEND? I will NEVER meet them. You know it, and I know it. So, get real here, and don't look at my pic, and then decide to ask me to ADD you if we have never met, or aren't in reality friends. I am not that INSECURE that I HAVE TO HAVE ALL THOSE TOTAL STRANGERS ON MY SITE AS FRIENDS! Now, since I am in the entertainment field, I especially love getting in touch with others in the same game. I have been so fortunate to have met so many amazing people in this line of work. Hooking up with long lost co-workers, and future employers is always a delight! I love to travel and do shows all over. Got a nightclub? Have shows in it? Contact me. We'll take it from there...
Music:
This is hard. Too many artists. I guess I'd say just about anything except rap and country. Unless it's Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris, of course.
Movies:
I tend to look for Independent and Foreign films the most. I adore French, German and British ones. I also love the great movies from Hollywood's Golden Age. I watch them often, and have tons of books on many of the stars from that period. With today's movies, I love the dramas most. Period pieces too. Historical. The ones that I DO NOT LIKE are the ones with no plots, using violence, vulgarity, or ridiculous car chases to fill in the screen time. I don't care to watch people shooting each other or fighting. Needless gore. PLUS, comedies aren't that big for me most of the time. I have a very dry sense of humor, and have never found many people that funny. I hate having to sit through some insanely boring film with actors acting like idiots, thinking that they are comedic geniuses.
Television:
Oh let me see... I love "LOST", "Jericho", "Prison Break", "The View", Showtime's "The Tudors", and I especially love British sitcoms. I so miss new episodes of "Absolutely Fabulous" and "Keeping Up Appearances"! I love Patsy and Hyacinth! What characters they both were. One trend that I don't care for is the "Reality" show. I like to watch programs that require a "WRITER" with an EDUCATION. PLOTS! And don't even get me started on "Jerry Springer" and "Maury Povich"! How very sad they are... What limited intelligence it requires to be entertained by such human garbage. I can't think of any more right now...
Books:
I am a voracious reader! I have ALWAYS loved a great book. Some of my favorite authors are Tennessee Williams, Truman Capote, Colleen McCullough, J. R. R. Tolkein, Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Celestine Sibley, and of course, Anne Rice. I love biographies, memoirs, autobiographies, and historical ones the most. If it's good, I also enjoy curling up in a quiet room, by a window, and reading a scary book. I don't care for self help books, detective mysteries, science fiction, "how to" ones, or religious propaganda. I have many, many bookshelves, lining many, many walls, throughout the house. Stacks of books on many, many surfaces! Books everywhere! They have gone with me to many different cities, in my wanderings throughout the years. I sure used the word "many" alot, didn't I? LOL
Heroes:
I am getting burnt out on having to think of all these things to write! Heroes? There have been some people whom I have loved passionately, and admired. Some I have looked up to, and emulated, but having a "Hero"? I don't think that I have ever had any.
