The Ancient Latin Mystic was very similar if not the same as the Tantrica of India. The Tantrica's goal is to embrace death and to go beyond the physical body. The Human Being is made up of three bodies, the Physical body (which you see), the Subtle or Power Body, and the Mental or light Body. In order to experience the Subtle and Mental body,a person has to go beyond their physical body. The Goal of the Ancient mystic or Tantrica was to go beyond death and to experience the subtle and mental bodies. A person with a lot of fear can not have spiritual experiences due to their attachments to the physical realm. A Tantrica / Viccanus in the Latin Dictionary, (this is where the word Wicca came from) was a person so absorbed in spiritual experience that they could not be converted to Christianity because their religion was not based upon philosophy, but something that they were experiencing. "Why do you ask me to have faith in a God that I see everyday", was a quote from the famous native American GERONIMO.A Tantrica in India and the Ancient Latin Mystic was not based upon faith, but transcending the physical body to have the experience. Tantricas and Roman Mystics were often found in cemeteries, and decked in bones. These "absorbed mystics" could not be converted, so they were killed.The Ancient mystic was fearless and knew that Death was an illusion, and the path of the Latin mystic was the Goddess Hecate (Hindu Kali). Hecate rules the Underworld with Proserpina and Pluto (Yama and Yami), and her work is to take her devotees beyond death so they could experience her to a much greater extent.
