DJ Troopa starting DJing at the tender age of 13, where he was DJing drum and bass on a local pirate station called Bass FM 107.5. His first ever gig was age 14 and he played at "AL's Bar" in Barry. He soon started to get bookings and his next gig was in the Owain Glyndwr Cardiff, which was organised by DJ Raheem (KISS 101). Raheem saw potential in the young artist and put Troopa on to a guy called Julian black. Julian ran drum and bass nights in a nightclub called Forum. Troopa was a resident for a year at Forum and then he began to start DJing UK garage music.Troopa found the strain of getting a regular DJ spot in Cardiff, so he began to start running his own events. He ran "Jamming", "Pluto's promotion", Sexy Sunday and he then teamed up with DJ Fabion (Tremorfire Dubz) to create "Essential" Which was a good success.Troopa then became a Lacosanosttra resident playing alongside the likes of DJ EZ, Heartless Crew, Roll Deep Crew, Cameo, Nasty crew, MC Viper, etc Since becoming a Lacosanostra resident Troopa hooked up with fellow welshman RICHIE VIBE VEE from BBC 1XTRA Who has helped him a lot in the UK garage scene and gave him a big change to make a name for himself across the UK by playing at his gigs in Cardiff which has been a huge success. Soon after Troopa was promoting an djing @ the best rave's ever in wales!Troopa also played at Swanseas "Escape" and swansea's "Crowbar" where he warmed up for the roll deep crew an other big grime artist's! since then he's been approached by other promoter's to go an play @ there nights in and around wales such as URBAN FLAVA where he helped support N.DUBZ, NATHAN an LISA MAFIA, also Troopa have been approached by big name producer's to see if he will play there beats @ raves an also been offered exclusive beats. DjTroopa is currently joinin up with mc Napper, Mc Shizzle an Mc S.Kid to record a mix cd using there exclusive beats(watch out fot hat its gonna be big) Troopa's best experience so far as a dj was when he was booked to play after "heartless crew in Newport's "Cotton club" where there it was a ram jam sell out night an he kept the crowd raving just as good as heartless! later on this year in 2006 Troopa joined up with cardiff's foundation crew where there he's made some more good progress by gaining a radio show on WWW.URBANCIRCLE.CO.UK EVERY THURSDYA 9-11 PM an by playing in bristol on bristol's biggest pirate radio station passion fm! Yet he can always be found on the2ND SATURDAY OF THE MONTH @ WHISPER'S(Guildhall place,Cardiff) for VIBEZIN Presents Where he co promote's it with RICIE VIBE VEE.
