Keep it locked for the "100% UKG Show!!!!!" Troopa and Cluedo have over 25 years dj’ing experience under their belts and have been involved with 1xtra, also some of the biggest promotions, playing at the biggest events alongside some of the uk’s most popular dj’s and artists. If you listen to any form of ukgarage music, and you live in Wales then you will have definitely heard of these guys. They pride themselves on being part of and promoting the UKGarage scene to the global community.They teamed up back in late 2005 when Cluedo asked Troopa if he would join forces with the already formidable Foundation Family. They continued along with the rest of the crew to push and promote the Grime scene to the ukg listeners of Wales. At this time the crew received nationwide acclaim and were renowned for their weekly slot on one of Wales’ leading urban music internet stations, Urban Circle, where they continued to break and set records for the most listeners and most popular show.When Radio Cardiff came about in 2007 and they were offered a show, they obviously jumped at the chance. They used their new found broadcasting skills along with their network of countrywide contacts to provide the people of Wales’ capital city with what was regarded as the most professional show on the station, interviewing and showcasing the likes of Play Ent, Princess Nyah, Maxwell D, 14:18, Vader, Dj Blizzard, Illmana, Nastee Boi, Nightrate along with a whole load of Wales’ best dj’s and urban artists.Last year they were proud to be approached by their long time friend Dj Fabion (Tremorefiredubz founder and producer). He offered them the chance to team up with him establishing Tremorefiredubz as one of Wales’ leading UK Garage exports. Unfortunately due to a difference of ideas and opinions of where the project was heading, the guys left and are no longer a part of the label.Since then they have continued to play at some of the biggest events across the country, Suncity, Bassline Fever, Nice and Niche, Pure Bass, Pure Funky, Twice as Nice, Too2Ruff, Nice and Funky, Crobar and Escape Swansea to name a few.Both Dj's are known for their hard hitting styles, playing the biggest tunes from the Grime, Bassline and UK Funky scenes. They have both vowed to never water down their selection.They continue to volunteer at local youth clubs, helping to set up recording studios, provide guidance and not just musical advice to the young people of Cardiff in some of the toughest areas of the city. The guys believe the music they promote (although which sometimes glorifies negativity and violence) is an important factor in keeping the young people off the streets and out of trouble providing positive role models for Cardiff’s youth. Something that was mentioned in a recent interview with the hugely popular Street Cred magazine.So what is next for them both?……. Expect more of the same, expect to see them playing at some of the biggest promotions in the country, expect to see them promoting the welsh scene to the world, expect to hear them smashin up local radio stations and beyond……. But most importantly DON’T expect them to ever back down from what they believe in!!!
