Brian est mort!?... Vive Brian!!

About Me

Williams Traffic is a Franco-American duet, whose patronymic member, Frank Williams, previously part of the electro-noisy trio ZFO, left his mark at the label Source in the end of the nineties, when Nicolas Kantorowicz, used to be the Wampas bass player, before founding Sporto Kantès. Their first album ...And the fugitive was issued by Catalogue (BMG), in 2001. Enthusiastically received almost everywhere in Europe, specially with the first soundtrack La fugitive being intensively diffused, in England, in a TV clip featuring the football player Thierry Henry. Frank, having co-produced the freaky crooner Fantazios album (La Triperie), composed tracks with Le Volume Courbe (EMI) and Sporto Kantès second album Round 2, having come out, Williams Traffic settles down to the production of their new album. Months spent with Bud at the Garage Studio in Paris... during which, they asked Shanti D, the lovers voice with the oriental tremor, and Earl 16 the Jamaican Londoner with his enraptured and suave utterance, to join in. The Young Lou with the languorous melodies, is also in the line, coupled with Frank Williams voice, singing in a heady tone on several tracks. Compared with the samplers waltz in their first album, Brian dreams marks the return to instruments: Guitars, bass, keyboards and percussion, along with interventions of a Batucada maestro and the brass of the Funk-Combo Les Chevals. Moreover, the contribution of Tamar Halperin, harpsichord player met in Italian Switzerland, becomes little by little determining so much for her piano and organ playing that fit ideally in Williams Traffics composite world. Whether baroque or lyrical, it backs up with refined colours, the raw and spellbinding sound of the group. Brian is dead!?... Long live Brian!! 1st album Williams Traffic & the Fugitive...
