wine, women and song - sounds like a good start. NZ does well on all three.

I'd like to listen to numbers of great musicians - mainly in small settings - the list is numerous, but acoustic, live, real music sounds like a good start. 90% of popular music has no soul - and I get annoyed by kids with software 'producing' music. A lot of the real kids are ok - just that the music isn't real music. (I actually don't really mind electronically produced music - as such - just has to have soul to be of interest.)

Music:
There are dozens of singer songwriters who appeal to me. The best of the ones who 'sings for me' is Bob Dylan. The best of the ones who 'sings to me' is Sophie Moleta. They are both troubadours to my mind, each in their own way speaking from the human heart and to the human spirit.

Heroes:
Public heroes are greatly over-rated, compared to ordinary people who struggle to keep going - and are often heroes within.
My non-heroes of the world include an enormous number of people in all fields who seem to have the answer(s) for everyone else. That's hypocrisy.
Also non-heroes of the world include those who lack empathy. That's arrogance.
Let's hope that I can escape both these traits. Hmm - maybe that's hopeful? :)
