CAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW!!
A made up word for a slurred bird.
Big in LA apparently.
Their flight is fast and direct and they walk and run confidently on the ground. Noisy and gregarious, schtarlings spend a lot of the year in flocks. Large feeding flocks collect into even larger roosting flocks. Schtarlings are very tenacious and adaptable. They have spare time for preening and loafing, usually close to the feeding areas at noisy gatherings. These disperse to places where inexperienced youngsters can easily feed, such as orchards and parks.
Schtarlings are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, which makes it illegal to intentionally kill, injure or take a schtarling. Do note that nuisance or damage to property are not legitimate reasons for control.
Our demo (which you might well be listening to now) was recorded by the wonderful Mr Alan of Transistor State fame. We'll be giving CDs of it out at gigs so you can cuddle it at bedtime should the urge take you.
