Transistor State

About Me

YOU CAN NOW BUY TRANSISTOR STATE STUFF ONLINE - CLICK HERE TO VISIT THE SHOP!Formed through old friendships, this accomplished north London four piece produces music that has been described as: “Full of crystalline melancholy and melodies that plunge deep into the unknown, just to lift you out of the darkest corners of despair”… “dramatic and touching, spellbindingly lush, taking you on a journey through unusually structured musical landscapes that twist and turn at every corner”.
Transistor State’s two previous EP releases received significant praise in the press. Music Week said: “they are the missing link between Radiohead, DJ Shadow and The Beta Band; they have a heavy dose of originality and integrity”
Live the band deliver their uplifting set with pace and power, impressing audience with their arresting tightness and an energetic stage show. With their expansive repertoire of songs Transistor State pick their set to suit their surroundings, their audience, and themselves, so it’s rare that an audience will see the same set twice.
2007 has seen the band embark on their first UK tour. They spent the first few months of the year hidden away in a rehearsal room, fashioning a formidable range of new tracks, fine-tuning a slicker stage setup and polishing an album promo. The tour kicked off in May and finished back in London at The Borderline in June. A great end to their 1st tour with nearly 200 fans through the door, a sizable crowd for an up and coming band. A successful tour under their belts with great feedback from fans and industry stands them in good stead as they now plan their next tour in the autumn.
Transistor State are poised to become one of 2007’s must see acts. Commit the name to memory – you’ll be hearing it a lot!
