The CD Showcase
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Only too happy to add Perry's CD! Check him out!!! Not only has Perry performed for Presidents, he's done commercials and was in a Shania Twain video, Gretchen Wilson video and Randy Travis video to name a few and he's also a very sweet guy!! Each day I experience something new, not always exciting but new. Once in a while I even think I experience a new emotion, one that I've never felt before. But there's one thing that has become constant. And that is at the end of the day and before I retire for the evening, I strip off the worries, cares and concerns and I visit one of my musically inclined friend's page and listen to their songs. I also make a point of visiting Perry's page where I listen to each of the songs in his player. It helps me to relax and recharge for the day to come. I don't see that changing anytime soon! I LOVE Perry's voice and his songs ARE the soundtrack of my heart!! Each and every one of you artists share your talents with us and for that I am eternally grateful.
Congrats Perry on getting signed with Grand Vista Music!!! If you're a friend of mine or a friend of a friend and live in the NJ area, Click Here and sign up to the Grand Vista email list and be sure to select the option for receiving more info on Perry. We HAVE to get Perry up here to perform and this is the way we can!!
This CD is very special to me!! And, I just happen to be one of Phil's biggest fans!!
Incredible musicians!
Randy is an extremely talented person! He has opened for Toby Keith, Joe Diffie, Collin Raye (twice), Sawyer Brown, Sherrie Austin, Lonestar and headlined his own shows. At a number of those shows, people flocked to his merch table afterwards and he and the guys have acquired a rather large following. I once said, I keep hoping he'll audition for American Idol because once he gets signed, he is going to be huge! But after the latest fiasco with AI, I just want him to be signed!!! Check him out by clicking on the CD!!!
Of course I had to have this...34 tracks and 33 videos...and a link to the Susan G. Komen foundation...hence the pink!
This guy has the most unique sound I've heard in a long time!!
Incredible sound...traditional and contemporary in one package...check it out!!
The compositions in this collection are simply breath taking...thank you Gianluca!!!
I don't sing or play an instrument and while I enjoy helping to promote those who do, I thought I'd showcase one of the things I love to do, which is taking photos. So enjoy!
I enjoy a variety of music genres but mainly I listen to Country. My favorite group is BlackHawk!!!
I also LOVE Ty England!!!!!! His new CD is out now!
There are a number of country artists that I really like and I've met a ton of them. Which is what's so cool about country, in addition to the fact that the music is real, down to earth and you can relate to it! Country artists make themselves accessible to the fans because they know that it's the fans who have made their careers possible.
The majority of them do it because they enjoy meeting the fans and saying thanks for the support. Some of them also can't believe how far we'll go to see them but when you love their music and they have a wonderful personality too, it's well worth the travel!!
In August of 2005 I flew to WI for 4 days of consecutive shows in 4 different cities to see BlackHawk perform and to attend a dinner/auction with them. Thanks to Lori and Tracy and BlackHawk of course, I was invited on the bus! That was a first for me and although it was the last of the 4 days and we were all pretty drained, it was cool! When they recognize your face, even know your name, and give you a hug, it's certainly not because they think you are stalking them. LOL It's because you've made a good impression on them and they love your support!
I haven't always listened to country but that all changed 11yrs. ago when I saw Garth Brooks live in Cheyenne, WY. Since then, I have become COMPLETELY hooked and that's why I say it's all his fault!
When I was a young girl, I was exposed to a variety of music by my parents. Anything from Jazz, Blues, Rock~n~roll to Patsy Cline and Hank Williams, Sr. (who my father loved), oh and if it's currently Saturday around 7:00Pm and I'm not out I may be listening to Lawrence Welk (who were my parents...the ambassadors of American music?) and yes, I was well aware of the stigma attached to country music. I don't think we need to relive that but things evolve and I certainly think country music has. Do I think honoring Deford Bailey was WAY too long in the making? You bet your A$$ I do! As a young woman, I was an Elvis and Beatles freak. I got to see Elvis perform 2 months before he passed away and actually caught one of his scarves. That was one show I was so glad I didn't miss! I was also the Secretary in a Beatles fan club and Paul McCartney was my favorite.
I have made some wonderful friends through country music who I have come to love and not only do they love the fact that I love country music but they have helped me have some very cool experiences along the way and visa versa. If twang's not your thing, there's a lot out there that has no twang at all. And if you think country doesn't rock or has no soul, think again! When I saw Trent Tomlinson at Penn's Landing recently, he paid homage to Ray Charles by singing "Georgia" and he rocked out on "Purple Rain" AND he did a really good job!!!
