About Me
Sarah Harts music welcomes and delights listeners from every age and background, by virtue of its musicality and embracing lyrical vision. As a writer, she begins by sharing her own experiences, expanding her life to include ours; as a performer, she shares her love of melody, and delivers her evocative words to us in clear, true notes. This is music that is simultaneously life-affirming and thought-provoking, a rare and welcome combination.Like the varied songwriters, poets and writers who have influenced her, Sarah's lyrics explore what really matters, and expose how the mundane can lead us to the sublime, how the sublime can transform the mundane.Although Sarah loves the intimacy of a small audience, she's comfortable performing anywhere. Her travels as a musician have taken her throughout the United States and abroad. She performs concerts and keynotes for womens events, youth events, churches and colleges, folk and Christian music festivals, and such places as The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN and The Fast Folk Cafe and The Bitter End in New York City. Sarah has toured with Wes King and Kathy Troccoli, has performed with numerous other artists such as the Newsboys and Randy Stonehill. She has appeared on the grand stages at the National Catholic Youth Convention and the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry. Her music has appeared on radio everywhere and was recently featured on Lifetime Television.Sarah has received six Unity Awards for her work, including in 2005 for Producer of the Year (Into These Rooms), Album of the Year (Into These Rooms) and Songwriter of the Year. Sarah has written and worked with a wide array of producers, performers and writers, and is a staff songwriter for Spirit and Song. She also works with the childrens marionette theater in Nashville as a songwriter and performer. The critically acclaimed Into These Rooms is Sarahs third solo project, and is a welcoming, intimate portrait of the artist, her life and her faith. Produced by Sarah and Jeff Thomas, the recording is a lively, inviting, honest work, and explores life in Sarahs view from the inside-out.
