Ionics is a group from Tampere, Finland, which scoops influences from hip-hop, trip-hop, jazz, funk etc. Some of the musical influences come from bands like The Roots, 311, Portishead, Cypress Hill, Jurassic 5.
The band was formed at the later half of 1999. At that time the only members were Vesa and Jere. When Vesa moved to Tampere in November 2002, we started looking for a live ensemble.
Jere left the band in April 2007 and Now we are looking for a new drummer
