In 1988 he discovers himself a passion for Hip-Hop culture and particularly Graffitis, strongly influenced at the time by American styles such as B-Boys and Lettrages. That’s when he began hanging around waste lands in Paris and its suburbs to admire the wonderful frescoes of his elders. Some of which he sees in “Spray can'art”, the graffiti’s Bible. After lettering, he soon begins to work on characters and entire scenes. As the years pass, he evolves from caricatures to realistic characters. He paints a lot on state houses’ walls in a suburb general atomsphere. The young ones grow up with the graffs to which some of them have contributed. His first realizations of R.I.P.s (Rest in Peace) begin, wall paintings commemorating some youngsters having suffered a tragic death. The families or friends of the dead ones generally order these frescoes. They are realized on a wall of their quarter. In 1994, he begins to mix abstract Arabic writings to his graffitis or tags. He sharpens his spray as a calligrapher sharpens his calam to create tie-up pulls and hair lines. This is what will later be at the origin of his personal : “kalligraffism“. In 1994, first limited editions of t-shirts screen-printed that he sells in the estate houses of his quarter. His t-shirts are much appreciated in these places where youngsters look for style rather than a make. From 1999, he develops a new technique : « glowing calligraphy », “kalligraffie lumineuse” or “space writng”. He paints transient graphic stages in the dark with visible light only on film base. In 1999 after having seen the cult film “The pillow book”, He begins body-painting with posca (gouache pen): le “body-paintz” , In 2001, first giant projection on the frontage of a state house Saint-Denis, with photos of JJ Grezet. In 2002, he adapts his photo technic of glowing calligraphy to video, creating live animations on the spot. This same year he also starts digital painting on graphic slates. Il fait alors la tournée des terrains vagues de Paris et sa banlieue, admirant les fresques magiques des aînés. Certains de ces grands, il les voit dans “Spray can'art”, la bible du graffiti.3 Après le travail du lettrage, il attaque rapidement les personnages et les scènes complètes.4 Au fil des années, il passera des personages caricatures aux personnages réalistes.5 Il peint beaucoup sur des murs de cités, dans des ambiances de quartiers. Les petits grandissent avec ses graffs, auxquels certains ont participé.6 Premières réalisations de R.I.P. (Rest in Peace), murs à la mémoire de jeunes ayant pour certains disparu de façon tragique. Ces fresques sont en général des commandes de la famille ou des amis du défunt, realisés sur un mur de leur quartier.7 1994, il commence à mélanger des formes d’écriture arabe abstraite au graffiti et au tag. Il taille ses caps (embouts de bombe) à l’instar du calligraphe qui taille son calam afin d’obtenir des pleins et des déliés. Cela donnera quelques années plus tard son style particulier : le “kalligraffism“.8 1994, premières séries limitées de t-shirts sérigraphiés qu’il vent dans les cités autour de chez lui. Ses t-shirts sont très prisés dans ces quartiers où les jeunes achètent un style avant une marque.9 A partir de 1999, il développe une technique : la “kalligraffie lumineuse” . Dans le noir il peint des phases graphiques éphémères avec de la lumière visible uniquement sur support photographique.10 1999 après avoir vu le film culte “The pillow book”, il se met à la peinture sur corps au posca (feutre à gouache): le “body-paintz” ,11 2001, première projection géante sur la façade d'une cité de Saint-Denis avec des photos de JJ Grezet.12 En 2002, il adapte sa méthode de photo de la “kalligraffie lumineuse” à la video, créant en temps réel des images animées en temps réel.13 Cette même année, il débute la peinture numérique à la tablette graphique.14 2003, première collaboration avec les architectes-designers “Studio KO”.
