I'd like to meet:
I actually like people watching on this space as much as *meeting* people. I have friends and I don't usually have enough time for them as it is, but this has been a good way to stay in touch with those far and away.
Music:
Favorite local & other bands I've worked with: Jason Bennett & The Resistance, Suspect Device, The Benders, Jabe, Nolan McKelvey,The Blue Bloods, The Ducky Boys, The Hudson Falcons, The Skels, The Blue Bloods, The Pug Uglies, Tommy & the Terrors, Street Dogs, Dropkick Murphys, Toxic Narcotic, Lost City Angels, The Bloodvessels, Famous in Vegas, VPR, Alleged Bricks, The Two Bit Hoods, Chad Salacious, Darkbuster, Nowhere USA, The Weekend Warriors, Submachine, The Kowalskis, Tommy Gutless, The McGunks, The Welch Boys, Blood Vessels, Brian McPherson, Bad Lieutenants, and I'm sure they're more... Other music I like: Paul Weller, Billy Bragg, Stiff Little Fingers, Jake Burns & The Big Wheel, Hothouse Flowers, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bad Religion, ...sometimes classical, but often there's nothing that beats SILENCE...
Movies:
I still love "I (heart) Huckabees", as for recent movies, I liked Flyboys, The Departed...ummm... I really liked the new Kenneth Branagh version of "As You Like It" - the Rosalind character was fantastic.
Television:
Netflix for Television rules! I've now seen all of Mi5, Monarch of the Glen, and Foyle's War - I need some more BBC TV! As for regular TV, there's really nothing at the moment I love - The Tudors, and Rome were entertaining - I miss the Wire (hey ladies - McNutty gets naked as Lysander in the newest version of "A Midsummer Night's Dream"), I'm waiting on the last seasons of Lost, 24, and my guiltiest pleasure - Las Vegas - to come out on Netflix so I can catch up.
Books:
No one here really wants to hear about what I'm reading - I'm working on all things "The Faerie Queene" at the moment...I loved the last Harry Potter and still can't help wishing there were more!
Heroes:
Lots of dead white men....a few dead white women too....
