About Me

After realising that most things are really really boring, three charming boys from Telford called Nick, Paul and Lyndon decided to not be really really boring and form a band. They called it Lady Fortune because everything else they came up with was pretty rubbish and they were pressed for time. Nick wrote lots of songs and showed them to Lyndon and Paul. They were so impressed that they bought Nick a bag of presents. Nick was pleased and suggested that his new band mates learn the songs. So they did. With an exceptionally large range of influences already drilled inside each members head, from The Smiths to The Strokes and The Beatles to Belle and Sebastian , a lovely sound started to ring around the heads of the residents of Telford. People were in love with their catchy chorus’, their “I know what he means” lyrics, and their energetic live shows. Before you could say “Bloody hell, how buff is the guy from Razorlight got?” word had spread and Lady Fortune took there melodic masterpieces around the country. People started writing about them in magazines and on this thing called the internet (Telford doesn’t have the internet due to Morrissey. Seriously). Lady Fortune were pleased at all the lovely things people were saying about them and to celebrate they had a party which ended in disaster. After Lyndon had got out of hospital, Lady Fortune starting playing some super support slots with the likes of The Automatic, The Pigeon Detectives, The Paddingtons, Bromheads Jacket, The Young Knives, The Rumble Strips to name but a few. After releasing their debut single "Mr Brown" this summer, Lady Fortune will release their second single "12 o'clock, nearly 1 o'clock, hurry up" late 2007.
How delightful.
