Lequan Woods (aka "YQ") was born and raised in the Bay Area, California. YQ knew at an early age that he had an exceptional ability to communicate and, had a lot he wanted to say. Encouraged by his family and influenced by the likes of The Notorious B.I.G and Fabolous, he began to put the pen to the paper at the age of 13.Over the years, he continued to write and began to work towards taking my music to the next step to becoming a professional artist. Within the first two years of my beginning, by completing numerous mixtapes and also was a part of many rap groups where he recorded many albums as well. As he began to grow and improve, he began performing at events throughout the Bay Area. (talent shows, clubs, functions, contests)Now with expierence under his belt, he continues to find ways to perfect his craft and better his self for whatever the future holds. His style and diversity has allowed him to do different things and work with a lot of people. He does more than just string words together that rhyme. He has created a lyrical prowess that showcases an extraodinary ability to speak on an array of subjects and do music that everyone can love. (Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Alternative, etc...) Trust and believe that YQ has arrived. He won't settle for anything else than to be the best that he can be; and as long as he making good music and staying real, then I am just that. THE BEST!!!
