Never say you've seen it all.

About Me

I'm a moderately well known educator in the area of health, relationships, and sexuality. I've written 11 books, five of which are currently in print -- including "SM 101: A Realistic Introduction" "Jay Wiseman's Erotic Bondage Handbook" and "Dungeon Emergencies and Supplies" -- all published by Greenery Press.

I'm also working on a personal website at JayWiseman.com.

Personally, I'm heterosexual, polyamorous, something of a switch but very much a dom at heart. (I recently had this knowledge reinforced in a very pleasant way.) I travel a fair amount giving presentations, mostly relating to BDSM, and am on a plane going somewhere about once a month. I'm also a former ambulance crewman and currently teach classes in CPR and emergency care, at both the basic and advanced levels, for various groups -- especially alternative communities such as dungeon monitors, ravers, and sex workers.

My Interests

Videography, EMS, BDSM, law.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

After mulling it over, I have decided to be relatively liberal in adding people to my friends list. This being the case, a reader should NOT infer from the fact that someone is on my friend's list that I necessarily know that person either online or in real life. A reader should also NOT infer from that the fact that someone is on my friends list that I necessarily think well of that person or would recommend them in either a personal or professional capacity.

Regarding my friend's list, in most cases, I've never met the person in real life and also have not had much interaction with them online, so I really know very little about them and have essentially no information upon which to base an opinion and/or a recommendation regarding that person, be it either positive or negative.

In most cases, all their presense on my friends list means is that they asked if they could be on that list and I approved their request, usually on the basis of only a very cursory reading of their profile.

Also, again after mulling it over and trying different approaches, I now generally don't approve "thanks for the add" comments and/or comments with a holiday theme. If you know me and have something to say about me (preferably something good ), I will probably add that comment, but otherwise probably not. It's nothing personal. Somewhat snarky person that I can sometimes be, I'm just not a big fan of things like "thanks for the ad" comments.
