About Me
Anyone who entered freshman year of college in the past seven years likely became familiarized with Kulture and its eclectic offerings. Over the years, the vinyl collection grew, the clothing selection nearly disappeared,
and the glass selection took over an entire floor of the split-level locale. But if you haven’t stepped foot inside in awhile, you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the recent revamping. Shannon Edmonds, former owner of Threadz, joined the crew at Kulture this year. Now nestled in Kulture’s bright bottom level, her collection of new and gently used vintage clothing
and accessories is available. Kulture is out with the vinyl, in with the clothing and glass. Exclusive Richmond clothing lines such as DayByDay, Upper Playground, and Strainz are available, as well as Jerome Baker skateboard decks. Cannaboard Hemp Decks and J fold wallets and accessories
are arriving this winter. Kulture’s top-level renovations allow for the most extensive selection of glass in Virginia, with smoking accessories from Roor, ADS, PHX, Illadelph, Chameleon Glass, Volcano, and more. Many pieces are available by local and regional glassblowers, as well as creations from world-renowned artists such as Mike Fro, Trainwreck, Banjo, Ghost, Strawberry, and others. If a merchandise makeover isn’t enough to get you off the couch, consider their ongoing offer of 10% off with valid student ID. (M.J. RVA)
