ALUMNI MUSIC....
Is a group of talented young artists from all over Western Pa. The group's founder Ca$ino started gaining local exposure by winning local freestyle competitons at the Shadow Lounge in East Liberty, PA. While recording a album with long time partner in crime from the Hill District, Sinn City, the two Pittsburgh MC's came together and decided to start a movement and unite local artists that graduated from the steets to develop a new signature sound for the city of Pittsburgh, PA.
While in the process of making the Alumni's first album, Ca$ino called on long time friends Blaze and J.T. aka Tha Beat Bangaz for production and vocal support adding Tha Beat Bangaz to Alumni's roster.
While networking for new talent for Alumni music Ca$ino's boy Goodz from Uniontown introduced Ca$ino to Q. Q was a fast talking hustler from Uniontown with major flow and looking to network in Pittsburgh with other MCs that were doing the same thing that he was. Ca$ino and Q clicked like brothers and Alumni kept growing. Now even though Alumni had a few hot songs the shows didn't come untill K.B. joined the group.
K.B. was born and raised in the small city of Farrell PA. He was a local DJ out there influenced and inspired by Soul, Gospel, HipHop, Jazz, and Rock music. Keygen is an up and coming Rapper/Producer and a real close friend with Pittsburgh's Hottest DJ from Philly, DJ Phinesse. KB introduced DJ Phinesse to Ca$ino and major production on Alumni's album began.
With last years D.S.U talent show winning single "Stay Fresh" by Q and Ca$ino and the local banger "Is U Gangsta" produced by Young Blaze of Tha Beat Bangaz, Alumni Music was starting to become reality for everyone involed in the movement. Its been about 2years since Ca$ino and Kb's 3 round battle at the Shadow lounge and 2 years since Ca$ino and Sinn City came off the block freestlyin.
Alumni Music has grown to be a major force in Pittsburgh hiphop. Now with a roster of hott M.c's like Wheyes of U.t edjucating fake M.c's- Bigg Spark vocals and Chelly B killing the R&B side of thangs and new Female M.c, Keisha Benzo Alumni Music Group is here.
