Slinky

Taking over the world, one song at a time.

About Me

The band Slinky was established in January of 2006 by Aaron Giannini and Nick Campbell. They both decided to form a band on the principals of combining funk, ska, and rock, as well as playing all original material. However, the duo was unable to unearth an appropriate drummer and so resorted to posting flyers in search of the next band member. In the time honored fashion of Drummer Ringo Star and bassist Bill Wyman, Graham Stephan answered the ad and joined Slinky.
From their humble beginnings, Slinky progressed in leaps rather than steps. They played their first live show at the 18th Street Arts Center on April 15, 2006. Soon afterwards, Slinky recorded their first demo, featuring four songs, which resulted in gigs at clubs such as B.B. King’s, 14 Below, the Gig and the Roxy. Slinky has been asked back to all of the venues they have played at, including playing both the Roxy and the Gig four times. Slinky has also just recently had their music featured on NBC's show 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip'. Currently, Slinky has E.P. recorded at the renowned 4th Street Recording Studio and has a permanent profile on the Gig’s website at www.liveatthegig.com, under the featured artist section. In the coming year, look for Slinky to be playing more clubs throughout the Southern California Region.
