1920', 30's, & 40's, especially played on my amberola. Very eclectic musical tastes, enjoy just about everything except rap. All depends on the time, the place and my mood.
Most old black & whites, but especially Casa Blanca, and the classic monster movies. Vampire and werewolf movies, even if they're terrible. Odd movies, like Todd Browning's "Freaks", etc. (However, I'm also an original Star Wars fanatic and can embarass my child with the amount of trivia I know about it.)Movies are seasonal in our family. Certain movies can only be watched at a certain time of year, and in a certain order. Here's a clip from one of our all time favorite Halloween movies: .. width="425" height="350" .. Puttin'on the Ritz, with The Monster. Here's Fred Astaire's version: .. width="425" height="350" ..And, just for the heck of it, here's some Gene Kelly at his best: .. width="425" height="350" ..Gene Kelly, who could ask for more?! Love that grin :-)
It's not television, it's HBO!!! The best programming on tv :-) Especially Six Feet Under and Carnivale. From my childhood: Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Dark Shadows, Lost in Space, Star Trek
Isaac Asimov and other scifi/fantasy; women's diaries from about 1860 to 1950 detailing daily life of ordinary women; trashy historical/romance novels; mysteries, especially Sherlock Holmes, the original Grimm's fairy tales, re-worked fairy tales for adults (not kid versions)......
