About Me

THIS IS THE OFFICIAL MYSPACE PAGE FOR KYLE VAN BAND. For info on BOOKING, SCORING, USE OF SONGS FOR TV or FILM SOUNDTRACKS, contact through THIS PAGE.
The Kyle Van Band is an original group out of San Diego that plays with a cornucopia of energizing, upbeat and international flavor. Vivid, expressive, and intense: from a summer romance on the beach to a murder on the Mississippi, our music's enjoyed on four continents. Our audience ranges from 8 to 88.
Our music's often compared to Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, David Bowie, Flogging Molly, U2, Chris Isaak, Lyle Lovett, Bob Dylan, and many other greats including the Beatles, Talking Heads, and INXS.
Singer/songwriter Kyle's been featured in short films, documentaries, and television. Kyle loves playing live with this amazing band which includes the bass wizardry of Peter Vanags and the brass and woodwind expertise of Brett McCarty, as well as both of their voices on two or three-part harmonies. We joined up with the enthusiastic and creative drummer, Mike Mitchell in early November and we've been rocking across Southern California ever since.
We're currently recording a debut album, as well as a few limited-release live demo albums that will be for sale exclusively at our shows. We're expecting great things in 2008, including an album, tours, and festival support.
