Part rapper and part reggae artist, the one man duo 2GUN is taking east coast rap to another level by fusing hip hop and high energy reggae on various styles of hip hop beats. Born in Brooklyn to a Jamaican mother and father and raised predominantly in Brooklyn but also lived in Jamaica for a few years, 2GUN has turn his background and life into music.Influence by rappers like Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, Nas, The Lox and reggae artists like Sean Paul, Baby Cham, Bounty Killa, Bennie Man and Shaggy, 2GUN’s style is like a mix of all the above. 2GUN first performed live on stage when he was 9 years old and he started writing hip hop and reggae when he was 13 and been making music ever since . After a few years of college 2GUN decided to take a break from school to focus on his music career. Threw out the years 2GUN has perform at many open mics, talent showcases, and opened up for major artists like Elephant Man, and Styles P. On stage he’s energetic, entertaining and he connects with the audience. 2GUN released his first solo promotional mix CD called “The H&R Era”(Hip hop and Reggae Era) in March 07 and its getting a lot of positive feed back , the fans love the way he blends the hip hop and reggae. 2GUN writes all of his material and also writes for other hip hop, reggae, and R&B artists.
