My name is LaMia aka Absolute I am a 23 year old singer/songwriter from Tampa, Fl. I am currently a songwriter with BMI and I just recently co-wrote and sang a song that AXE UNLIMITED is using for their national ad campaign. My commercial is below for your viewing pleasure.Questions and Answers...How old is Absolute? 23Where am I from? Tampa BayHow long have I been singing/writing? I've been singing since I was 4 or 5 years old. I and I have been a songwriter since I was 13 years old. How do you become successful...etc.? Success is when you accomplish something that you set out to do. Anyone can be successful in my book. Just set a goal and take the proper steps to accomplish them. Ex.) My commercial. I recorded that songs years before it recieved any type of attention or commercial success. You never know what opportunity will be the one that opens the door...Don't ever take any opportunity for granted.What are you up to now?I'm currently writing songs for other artist and I'm working on my new Gospel Project I'm writing my second novel and just enjoying life. Who is the most influential person you've met?I would have to say that person was Tampa Bay Buc - Derrick Brooks. No he's not the most famous person I've metbut he is defintely the REALEST. He really taught me a lot and is truly an important & special person to me.Secondly (It would have to be the Late Coretta Scott King. She was a LADY...every young lady needs to meet a GRAND LADY in their lifetime and I met 6 at birth (Mom, Grandmothers, and Aunts) and one more at the SCLC: Ms. Coretta Scott Kig.:) I'm so Blessed!)*At this point I am working with some very talented peole who insprise me daily and mtivate me. I have always been in love with gospel and so it's no wonder why I have a thing for taking the soul and passion from that and intertwining it with whatever I do.Believe that! :)
