Thrash metal with a new edge

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 REVIEWS FOR NO STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN: Furnaze are still hitting you with kick ass old school thrash metal without trendy compromises. Technically faultless, arse tight performances of songs with skilfully integrated, more melodic lines of speed and heavy metal influenced lines clearly distinguish the band from the army of other Retro thrashers (A. Stappert, ROCK HARD Germany) ...It is hard, thrashy, energetic and powerful but it's also tuneful and does not rely solely on power to hammer its point home. These guys are actually wise enough not to forget that a good band also needs to write songs. In reality, this thrashing hard rock demo is a lot of fun to soak in.......(Ali, Editor, METALLIAN.com) REVIEWS FOR LAME BRAIN SOCIETY: One can only be amazed at the high standard of this debut album (METAL HAMMER, Germany) These guys know their stuff, congratulations on a great debut album!! (ROCKHARD, Germany)LIVE REVIEWS: "...A BAND EVEN SATAN IS AFRAID OF..." (Mick Monsta, Promoter, MONSTA BAR, London)It was a pleasure to be confronted by the thrashing of headline act Furnaze... (Rockers Digest)BIOGRAPHY: Furnaze are a new Thrash Metal outfit hard, heavy and ready to rock Founded in Germany by Belgian singer songwriter guitarist Olivier, the band started up by playing Metal covers but soon started writing their own material, culminating in the release of their first EP, LAME BRAIN SOCIETY, in the autumn of 1999, with six tracks of hard hitting, in the face, tunes.Powerful drums, fast and furious guitars combined with solid rhythms and catchy riffs make Furnaze a welcome break from run of the mill metal outfits.Influences like Pantera, Testament, Slayer and Judas Priest provide the base for innovative songs and killer riffs, with Oliviers childhood exposure to Soul and R&B adding an element of groove.Relocating to the UK in 2001, the band concentrated on writing and recording new material. Their second EP, NO STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN, released in August 2004, demonstrates mature songwriting and individual style.Hitting the live circuit again with an even heavier sound and exciting, powerful performances, Furnaze are living proof that audiences love to be entertained. After a few line up changes, mainly in the drum department, the band returned to their original 3 piece format, and, after reuniting with James Cook for a brief period of time Furnaze are currently working on writing new material whilst looking for a new drummer to permanently join the band. For live gigs they will be performing with DANIEL ZEMAN, the original Furnaze drummer.Olivier's Warm-Up on Gibson Flying V
