Dawn of the Dead
A simple bank holiday Sunday social for friends in 2003 created a nagging demand for another and another; accidentally creating the unmistakable El Diablo’s Social Club formula.
From simple beginnings in basement bar Tribeca, to renowned secretive basement bashes, social service for devotees is now irregularly held all over the show as well as monthly at our new home at Mint lounge.
Open your mind
With a nod to the past and a wink to the future, El Diablo’s has always been about an open-minded music policy based in a party vibe where the emphasis is on making people dance. Soaked in disco and house and taking in anything else on the way that‘s suitable for your dancing feet.
Salubrious?
Infamous illegal basement parties in and around Mancunia’s less salubrious cavernous basements, derelict shops, tucked away public houses and even canal barges have augmented our seedy reputation. A reputation which has intrigued other party promoters to invite us along to their disco happening.
Over the last few years the El Diablo’s sound has been invited from everywhere… Electric Chair, Homoelectric, Friends And Family, Sankeys in Manchester as well as festivals such as Beechbombing in Barcelona, Snowbombing in Austria and good old Dpercussion in Manchester.
Like minded souls
Friends and fools alike have been along for the ride to have so far included luminaries such as Daniel Wang, Maurice Fulton, Rub n Tug, Danny Krivit, Citizan Kane, ,Greg Wilson, Kelvin Andrews, DJ Spun, Luke Unabomber, Sean P, Mudd, Todd Terje... to name a few....
