I guess you can say it’s something every young hustla is born with... Or should be! (GAME) It could be smooth talking to a young lady, handling a basketball, or applying for a job. We all got it! When you put a couple of game spitters on the same page seeing the same vision together it’s people to be met, places to be seen, and money to be made.
1995 was the year the Columni was birthed (officially), yet we were at it long before we came up with a name to call ourselves. Just a couple of young hungry adolescents running and hustlin’ in the streets of New England. Rappin’ & Trappin’ in hoods we knew we had no business being in, we established ourselves as a force not to be reckon with. Also we were held down by the work our older G’s put in , not to mention the level of respect we generated in the streets. There was no choice for the concrete jungle, but to show love to some young hustlas on a come up.
It didn’t take much for us to convert our swagga into a form of music, because where we’re from if you said it you did it. See rap & real life isn’t all that different. Apart from the occasional enhancement of our bars & hooks everything we speak we live. Our motto is "WE DO WHAT WE WANT, YOU DO WHAT YOU CAN"!!!
All of us had a certain amount of love for music, however Cold had a vision. He also had the drive, dedication, and plan for the success of our crew. Once his outline was presented to the crew the plan was adopted into our everyday life.
After all the partying ,hustling , bidding, differences ,reconciling , trials and tribulations we managed to stick together as one. We always kept in mind that before & after this music we will be FAMILY. We always shall be OUR "BROTHERS KEEPER ", THOUGH BROTHERS OF DIFFERENT MOTHERS WE FUNCTION AS A FAMILY UNITED AS ONE IN THE SAME VISION DESTINED AND DETERMINED BEFORE THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE WORLD TO SUCCEED. Although we don’t share the same bloodline there is a uniqueness, a power that flows through the veins of each one that is shared by all with the same passion and drive for success. As far as music is concerned we’ve been doing this for over ten years, yet the business venture came about only after we came to the conclusion that greatness is not measured in failure but in success. We the COLUMNI are here to raise the level of awareness to the struggle turned into positive reinforced energy for the world to know that those who are dubbed least likely to succeed can be adopted by a family like COLUMNI with raised expectations beyond our today and into your tomorrow.
