27yrs Janine Nicole Jacques is from Nottingham, one of the hottest singer/song writers in the UK is destined for big things.Born in the 80's this only child lived to perform. Born into a family of singers, aged 5, she decided that singing and dancing was for her also and went to a dancing school.After 7yrs the young Miss Jacques decided to concentrate on her singing and aged 12 she put pen to paper and started song writing."I felt it was something I had to do", says Janine, "Even though I was only young I felt it was time for me to progress from singing cover versions to singing my own songs"From there, Janine with no formal musical training (leant how to harmonise by listening to Whitney Houston albums!) continued the singing and song writing accumulating about 200 songs, but a chance meeting with the rapper Paris 1 meant that Janine would hook up with producers Courtney Rose aka Black Viking and 1xtra’s Mista Jam from Take 1 Studios. From there Janine became an integral member of The Official Fam project, produced a video and track called “First Step” which she featured heavily on.After the video, the whole group embarked on a nationwide tour of the carnivals, blowing up Sheffield carnival so much that they literally had to run through the crowd to the mini bus.Nowadays, Janine Nicole alongside Black Viking, Kupa aka Naughty Raver, Dj Fever, Lee Ramsey aka Low Star and other producers, has concentrated more on her solo material and is in the process of producing a mix CD with a compilation of RnB and a hot 4x4 remix of “Signs”.“I would not mind being a hit”, says the down to earth diva, “Just as long as I can perform and people enjoy my music.
