About LoveDough
LoveDough began at a modest 400 capacity venue in Leeds in February of 2001. The concept would subsequently become a formidable brand that is now recognised as one of the UKs leading urban clubnights.
The credibility of the night has never been compromised - LoveDough has continued to remain at the cutting edge of the urban music scene, and over the years has showcased the hottest talent from both sides of the Atlantic. With old-school legends such as Grandmaster Flash, Prince Paul, Maseo, Tony Touch & Cash Money as well as rising stars such as Sway, Professor Green, NDUBZ, Faith SFX, L.Man, Lethal Bizzle and Kano.
Six years on and stronger than ever, LoveDough has survived and prospered where weaker brands have failed. The brand has achieved more in six years (both in terms of milestones and attendance figures) than many other brands before it. To date LoveDough has generated well in excess of ½million admissions, hosting sold out shows in 17 venues across fourteen different European cities including the Balearic islands of Ibiza and Mallorca where it holds its Summer residencies in Esparadis and BCM respectively. Meticulous attention to detail and a firm belief in seeking out the finest talent has paid off by making our name synonymous with quality.
LoveDough Looks Set To Take On 2007 By Storm
The year is now 2007 and the LoveDough brand is no longer simply a clubnight, it has also developed into a record label, established in early 2006. A year after releasing the highly acclaimed ‘This Is My Rave’ collaborative mixtape with Sway, LoveDough Recordings has launched its very own on line MP3 and mail order record store at www.lovedough.com. Both stock a bevy of homegrown talent, and LoveDough Recordings is now set to release L Dot Man’s ‘New Age Army’, his final instalment before his forthcoming album. This is available in stores nationwide. – watch this space.
