Kennie has worked as an independent event coordinator, designer, production management and organizer for many years in the event industry. He started craving the event party scene back in high school. He started organizing parties at homes which if you think back - remember the backyard parties everyone had to go to. DJs with the turntables on cinder blocks, kegs of beer and of course the police breaking it up and sometimes using a helicopter. After Kennie graduated from high school and started college and Kennie went even bigger by renting out halls from Holiday Inns and so on. How he arranged full bars, DJs and live entertainment is unknown since he himself was under age at the time.
He did have a full time job in construction and even was in the union till the day a friend called him and said that a power company which had an event division had an opening at the bottom of the totem pole. Kennie didn’t care as long as he got it learning about trade shows, concerts, festivals and much more. Starting at the bottom was were he was cleaning cables from concerts with stuff you could only imagine was on them. After several years of learning the temporary event power trade and event design he climbed up the ladder to sales and production management. Scheduling tours, crews, designing layouts and organizing events became the lifestyle for him.
The Edgewater Hotel and Casino in Laughlin Nevada Marketing Department approached him and offered him to organize and coordinate their property during the Big Motorcycle Rally in April. Since he had the reins of the venue he tripled the size of it and put the entertainment right on casino drive which was a major eye catcher. Numbers have been increasing every year since for that one event. Kennie has done several other events in the motorcycle industry ranging from The University of Phoenix Stadium to Big Bear City at the Snow Summit Ski Resort.
He now specializes in budgets, timelines, needs and success. The services Kennie brings to the table will help lower event costs, help to generate more income and the event will be a very well organized and clean event.
