Vocalist/lyricist Todd McTavish met guitarist/songwriter Lee Jackson in Los Angeles in 1995. The guys immediately sensed a musical bond and, with bass player Ryan Rogers, created a band, JUDGE JACKSON.The group immediately starting playing the famed LA club circuit. A devoted hardcore fan base formed as a result of the explosive impact of the band’s live shows and great songs. In 1998, JUDGE JACKSON released its debut, followed by a second CD titled “8068â€.After the release of JUDGE JACKSON’S third CD, “One Diamond,†drummer J.J. Garcia joined the group. “One Diamond†was re-released in 2005 through a national distributor, and the band embarked upon a nation-wide promotional tour to support it.From this release, the song “Amazing†received airplay on 30 plus stations across the U.S., as well as internet and satellite exposure around the world. “Times Been Changing†was featured in NBC’s “My Name is Earl†and a revised version of “King†is now the theme to the Speed Channel program Victory Lane. The program is watched by over a million NASCAR fans every Sunday!JUDGE JACKSON’S self-titled fourth CD was produced and engineered by John Hiler (Stephen Stills, Willie Dixon & Smashing Pumpkins) at Prairie Sun Studios and released in March of 2007. Since then, “Lift the Bottle†and “Rock N’ Roll†have been featured on several Fox Sports Network promos and programs. Just recently, the group wrote and recorded a new song, “Get Busy,†for Fox Sports college football telecasts.In more recent news, the band brought home "Best CD of the Year" in the Rock category at this year’s 5th Annual All Access Magazine Awards and Brian James, formerly of “The Rocking Scoundrels†and “Stone,†replaced long-time bass player Ryan Rogers. The band has never been tighter, livelier, and more determined to make its mark in the world of rock and roll.
