About Me

Who are you listening to these days on your I-pod or mp3 player?Hip-hop / rap music is targeted by the media for negatively influencing young people. In that cloud of gloom, the positive artists who use Hip-Hop as a vehicle to transmit powerful and positive messages by portraying the streets from a righteous pespective in a day and age where the intentions of artists define the distinction between right and wrong are just not given sufficient credit. One such artist is Lazarus.Lazarus, a diverse and natural performer, whose rhyme style represents an explosive mix of positive hard-hitting music and captivating stagecraft, enables his message to make its mark with any audience. Paying his dues, Lazarus fine-tuned his skills through the hard times in the streets of Scarborough down to his youth in the U.S., Working with artists such as saukrates out of Day prod., ciphers, local events around the Greater Toronto Area and Ottawa.Lazarus's upbringing in the multi-cultural communities of Cleveland, Ohio and Toronto, Ont. Listening to the albums and attending concerts featuring artists such as Mos Def, Heltah Skeltah, Canabis, Smooth da Hustla, Ghostface and Lauryn Hill influenced his style and skillful ambitions. The influence on his music goes further than his background, however. Lazarus incorporates elements of all his experiences to produce music that not only impacts musical taste buds but also acts as a positive force to the effect of giving listeners something to think about, politically, philosophically, religiously, braggadociously and creativly. His goal is to make music influential in a positive and unique way which involves the intensions of a person given little options in fast world enabling him to appealing to a hardcore audience and concsious audience with a touch of soul and a shot of class. With a powerful, skillful, progressive conveying voice and lyrics, Lazarus's sound is unique. When coupled with his confidence and his Fleet of elite Emcee's its safe to say that this rapper is guaranteed to bring a fresh approach to the worldwide Hip-Hop game. Like a true Global Lord.
