"Kurort punk", "Baltic ska pioneers", "ska-punk-reggae", "skacore", "Lithuanian ska", "skunk" are only few terms to describe dr.GREEN. these are only labels, the main thing that the band try to take the best from any style and stay honest for "do it yourself" way of thinking. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---- Ve (ex-Turboreanimacija), Mindas, Domas (both - WC News) and Zaragoza (Varnu Vejas) together hit a stage in 1996 May 9 for the first time, during punkrock festival Durniu Laivas no.6. they recorded the first 4-song demo, which was distributed together with live record from the band's first tour in Sankt Petersburg (Russia) in 1997. in the end of 1997 sax players Gedas (ex-Juodoji Gulbe) and Konanas (ex-Tai Ka?) joined the band. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---- dr.GREEN played lots of gigs all over Lithuania, toured in Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Czech and Slovak rep., Romania, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Finland, Holland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, France and got one of the most popular underground bands in Lithuania, especially in their home-town Vilnius. the band played in small squats/bars/clubs for 20-30 people as well as in festivals for bigger crowds.
