About Me

MyGen Profile Generator

In short: Guitar playing IT- and Electrical Engineering Professional with strong audio engineering skills - or the other way around.

More precise: I live in the northern part of Germany close to the North Sea. I like music, playing guitar, the outdoors, the beach, the sunshine, enjoy travelling, good conversations, meeting interesting and friendly people and different cultures. I take care of myself and enjoy riding my mountain bike, going to the gym and jogging. I like good but healthy food and fine red wine. Well, a beer once in a while...

As you might have guessed, I am very much into Metal, Rock and Blues. But I don't like to limit myself, so I give a lot of different styles a listen. I started to play drums at the age of 4 - well, it was more banging on my grandma's pots and pans. But because my dad was a professional musician - he studied bass and drums - I took over his drumset whenever possible and picked up a lot from him just by looking. At the age of 11 - I already had an acoustic guitar - my dad brought home a Fender Amp and I fell in love with the guitar and never gave up on that. My heroes at that time where Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Uriah Heep. - Yap, I learned how to play Smoke on the Water and Stairway to Heaven when it actually came out. :-))

Besides being a musician: I am an experienced audio engineer and corporate partner of Antoria Records , Germany. Artists I worked with in various capacities include: Nevermore, Skrew, Dize, Scaffold, Groundox.

I am an open minded person interested in various topics. I like to get involved in politics, society, environmental and animal protection, biodiversity and sustainability - because we have only this one world, so we should not trash it or mess around with things we are unable to handle like genetic engineering or nuclear power. We are all responsible so that further generations will have a chance to live on this planet.

I always scrutinize what mass media and politicians are exhausting to exploit their power to manipulate the masses. Just like Timothy Leary said: "Think for yourself, question authority."

I support Greenpeace , Peta and the German campact network.

Some of my favourite aphorisms are:

Only two things are infinite, the universe and the stupidity of mankind, and I'm not sure about the former. - Albert Einstein

When the power of love overcomes the love of power... the world will know peace - Jimi Hendrix

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated - Mahatma Gandhi

We're all going to die, all of us, what a circus! That alone should make us love each other but it doesn't.We are terrorized and flattened by trivialities, we are eaten up by nothing. - Buk

I personally think, that music and art can help to make this place a better a one: If all political leaders would play an instrument there would probably far less wars on this planet.

Cheers, Mike
