At twenty two, and at the beginning of his career, Houston’s Nick Joseph is writing songs and producing tunes that would make him appear as though he has been doing it for years. Beginning his musical career as most singer song writers he first picked up his guitar and pen at 16. In his senior year of highschool, after compiling a short set list worthy of live venues his teacher set him up with a show at “Deans Credit Clothing†in down town Houston. A venue usually reserved for more popular acts. In late 2003, after meeting producer Ken Tondre and recording a short EP at his studio in Austin TX, Nick took a break from music to begin working in oilfields around the country. During his travels Joseph worked to hone his craft and continued to write. In early 2007, Joseph reconvened with Tondre, and began pre-production on a new record. Tondre passed Joseph’s new project, “If We Make Itâ€, along to his protégé Lang Freeman (lead singer of “Sounds Under Radioâ€) Joseph and Freeman began tracking “If We Make It†in February of 2007 and finished in late July. His much anticipated new album is scheduled for released in the early weeks of November, with a tour to quickly follow.
