About Me

"I currently work as an Actress, Model and Animal Trainer in Orlando, Florida. I also travel abroad for agencies & entertainment companies. Working in many theme parks for commercials, promotional work/conventions, tv roles, film, video, spokesmodeling, fitness adds, etc.
I consider myself as to be a very hard worker, professional, shows up on time, go above and beyond what's expected of the role at hand--by always putting 110% into everything I do in life...making the most out of every situation!
Also, as a diver, I am able to hold my breath for over 4 mins and am sometimes called "Mermaid Melissa" because of my comfort in water. I practically grew up in a pool, and was captain of the swim team. I've worked as an underwater performer viewable by the public in the lagoon for one of my jobs, so it's 2nd nature to me.
Being in front of thousands of people a day in a bathing suit, and doing public speaking over the mic helps me stay very sharp and on top of my game for this line of work.
I have stayed active with work in promotional modeling and many other diverse gigs. I have made many strong connections in the industry by building strong relationships, and proving myself as a hard-working model with feet planted firmly on the ground, and never losing my head in the clouds.
A true model can make anything look intriguing-no matter what she or he may wear. I believe that "Make it look good no matter what you are given to model with!"
My passion is also being around and working with animals. I have been pursuing that career from a very young age often attending the Marine Land park I lived minutes away from, and then moving to Orlando when I was 12, which showed me an even grander scale to reach for. I worked as an animal trainer for Universal's Animal Planet live show for a few years and have recently taken that a step further finally able to fuse my love for the water and specifically marine mamals together by joining the animal training family as a Marine Mamal Trainer. I believe this job was desind for my life and am very thankful to God for giving me the talents, skills, and knowledge needed to finally find the perfect timing in my life to make this dream become a reality!
I look for challenges in life... and if I find something that makes me scared or unsure that I can succeed at this task --for that reason alone-- I will embrace those fears and make something positive come out of it to prove to myself that you can do anything (and be great at it) if you put all your efforts forth, and are dedicated to seeing the good in what could result from it!"
I love my family, friends, job, and the animals around me that make my life extra special! I am greatful for everything given to me in life and thankful that good things can happen to good people too! :)
