Seigmen 1989-1999 - 2006

About Me

Seigmen was formed in 1989 but under the original name Klisen Seigmenn. No not a typo, two 'n'. Alex and Sverre where the first two members with Noralf joining later on drums. Kim later jammed with Alex, Sverre and Noralf and became the bassists. At the time Alex was playing guitar but Kim had a friend who wanted in the band. Marius was welcomed as the other guitarists. They wanted to do three guitars at first but Alex concentrated on the vocals more.
For the past 9 years everything was successful and went on being the biggest band in Norway throughout the 90's. Wining awards and cash to expand internationally. However in 98 Sverre had to call it quits. The bands motto was the same as the Three Musketeers "One For All! All For One". As Seigmen's was "If one quits we all quit." There where multiple reasons to why Sverre decided to quit but he had no regrets. Going out while on top. The band decided to play a farewell tour across Norway. A tour that was sold out and marked the end of Seigmen in March in 1999 at Rockefeller.
The aftermath of Seigmen was devastating for some including the band members. Kim went to LA to try and find himself with music again. Noralf and Alex where asked to join the next project (To be named Zeromancer later). However Marius was left out of the project and Erik was in.
The boys have not seen each other in six years and got invited to their old managers 40th birthday. Marius, Sverre, Kim, Noralf and Alex where together for the first time in what seemed forever. To quote Alex "It was tight but the more beers we drank. The better the mood got.". Playing another concert as Seigmen seemed impossible until they got together and decided if they got the right offer they'd do it. Surely the UKA festival called two weeks later and the Seigmen reunion was set on October 20th 2005.
And this isnt even half of the document. See it all! The DVD Fra x til doden has a 1hr 56 min documentary on the bands sucess. English subtitles for those outside of Norway.
