Versions of Gail's birthdate vary, it seems sure that she was born November 7th 1981 to parents Alastair and Denise. She also has one brother Andrew. Raised in the small town of Stockport, famous for hats and viaducts she soon moved in a creative direction, often selling hand drawn comics to her classmates for a profitable yet reasonable sum. However the lure of extra milk money wasn't enough for the young Gail and she set her heart on bigger and brighter things.
Dazzled by the bright canvases of pop art she took up painting admiring the business ethics of Andy Warhol. When asked what she would like to do she would often reply "I'd like to buy the world a Coke". Gail's time at school was most enjoyable, frequently spending her free time in the art department or on the sports field. It is a little known fact that she represented Stockport playing ladies cricket. Gail soon realised her career in cricket was limited and she made up her mind to study Graphic Design at the local college.
Gail describes her experience at Stockport College as "mentally, physically and socially demanding". The on campus SU bar allowed her to develop skills in at least two of these areas. Her two years of further education expanded her knowledge, communication skills and self-expression. After soaking up all the creative juices Stockport had to offer she looked further a field to broaden her continually expanding horizons.
She embarked upon the fair hills of Sheffield, about as close to the country as she likes to get, to dazzle South Yorkshire with her assets. She soon began to love the city and all the lessons living there taught her. Surviving the emotional rollercoaster of student life by her wit, charm and instincts she graduated in the summer of 2002.
They say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself. Gail intends to change lots of things. Perhaps one day she'll buy you that Coke.
