Newbury's finest britprog outfit...

About Me

In the depths of the woods, closest to your house, sits a forgotten man, ZANN ARKWRIGHT, dressed in a pale green robe. He is nestled between two colossal trees, beating a drum made from wood and twine. This beat makes the trees sway and the animals dance, and is heard by the ears of a man almost five miles away.
This fellow, named ELLIOT LÃœVBUG, had once been a shoe shiner, but now makes a living by enchanting the lives of strangers, with heart-warming notes that fall from his guitar. ELLIOT, intrigued by the sound, slung his guitar over his shoulder and set off towards the rhythm coming from the woods.
However, the path to the woods had been blocked by a mound of logs, and beside them sat a chap named, CAPTAIN CHRISTMAS. This man was carving the logs into miniature pianos, and testing them with charming ditties with his spindly fingers. ELLIOT asked the man whether he could help move the logs so he could get past, to which CAPTAIN CHRISTMAS agreed.
So the two men shifted the logs, and afterwards, ELLIOT insisted that the CAPTAIN must join him on his musical quest, so they both continued down the mossy path to the woods.
You may be thinking that this story is nearing to an end, you would be mistaken; for suddenly, the talented inventor HEIMLICH WATERSHED appeared on horseback, straining under the weight of a giant wind machine carried upon his back. The machine produced melodic tones when the wind passed through it, however it was far too large to carry. CAPTAIN CHRISTMAS suggested that HEIMLICH should make a smaller version of this so that he could be a part of the, now musical, gathering.
For such a task they looked around for new materials to make the instrument, and amongst the moss and undergrowth they saw a young ENDAEVÖR STRAITS, basking in the suns rays that broke through the wooded area. ENDAEVÖR spent his days plucking the thin strings of spiders webs whilst humming and singing to himself in the daytime breeze.
The group walked over to ENDAEVÖR, and together they came up with a perfectly formed harmonica that could charm and amuse almost anyone in the land.
After much talking and playful banter, the four men set off together to find the catchy beat that was being produced by ZANN ARKWRIGHTS musical drum. They climbed over wood stumps, trekked through fields of sunflowers, and at last, saw the outline of the two trees from which the beat seemed to originate from.
ZANN looked up at the arrival of the merry group, and gave a wry smile as if he had been expecting them. CAPTAIN CHRISTMAS began to play twinkle tunes on his wooden piano, ELLIOT strummed his most charming chords, HEIMLICH blew on his new harmonica, and ENDAEVÖR plucked on the nearest web. All of them hummed and sang, and they produced a sound that could melt your ears and put a spring in your step.
You will come across them one day, you will sit down on a log covered with moss, and you will smile and sway, and you will thank the day you first heard THE WOOKIES.
