The MFV

About Me

The Modern Fighting Vehicles
The MFV were a four piece indie/alternative band from the south east. They formed in 2005 and disbanded in august 2008 to start work on a new project .
“We formed in school because we thought being in a band would make us irresistible to the fairer sex. We were wrong”
James Knaggs – The MFV
Between the beginning of 2007 and august of 2008 The MFV performed at over one hundred live events from Southampton to Edinburgh and were showcasing themselves to the nation as part of the BBC’s “Introducing” program. They were without doubt, a competent and impressive live act.
“Stylistically, The MFV go big on guitars and straddle both dance/electronica and rock, and are working on developing a sound that no-one else has.”
Phil Jackson – BBC South Live
The MFV played support to established acts including Palladium, The Little Ones and Pirate Casino.
“I’d like to hear more from these guys”
Seven Webster – Jackpot Records, 7pm Management
The MFV were also involved with their local BBC station as Julian’s people on the Radio Solent breakfast show where they did their first live radio performance to over 40,000 listeners.
They went on to form Guitar Guitar which launches officially on the 10th of January 2009.
