I live in York which is a lovely place.I like to see beautiful things, but sometimes can't see through the ugliness of life to appreciate the beauty. The more you open your eyes to see the splendour around you, the more the horrors that will invade your vision.I cannot ignore this ugliness so try to make things better. I want to help other people to open their eyes and be prepared to see what is before them. I want other people to realise what they have and see if they have enough left to help others.We cannot just open our eyes to our own happiness while ignoring what is around us. A society built on other peoples' misery and poverty is ugly, however much you dress it up with the spoils of consumerism.This is why I implore you to open your eyes.
