About Me

We Five was a folk-rock musical group based in San Francisco, California. They had a hit in 1965 with their song "You Were on My Mind". They were the first group to record songs live in San Francisco, and were also the first commercial artist to record music for Coca-Cola. They were Grammy-nominated as Best New Artist of 1965, but were beat by The Beatles.
In 1965, We Five released its blockbuster song, "You Were on My Mind' - which reached Number One in Cashbox and Number Two on Billboard's hits list.
The ensemble played acoustic and electric guitar and sang vocal harmonies. The original line-up included Jerry Burgan, Michael Stewart, Beverly Bivens, Peter Fullerton, and Bob Jones.
