About Me

I have been playing poker since I was 8 years old. I have been playing in casinos and card rooms for the last 15 years. In January 2004, I left my full time job as a Police Officer and began playing poker professionally. In that time, I have won several tournaments and made numerous final tables. I made two final tables at the 2004 World Series of Poker, placing 9th in a no-limit holdem tournament and 3rd in Omaha 8 or better. Several other money finishes in the game of Omaha 8 or better earned me a sixth place ranking in Card Players player of the year race for Omaha 8 or better. In 2004 at the Reno Hilton World Poker Challenge, I made two final tables, placing 7th in the championship event, on the T.V. bubble for the World Poker Tour. Last year I made 3 final tables on the Ultimate Poker Challenge, playing on television for the first time, winning one event and placing 3rd and 4th in the other two.I have played poker in more than 20 different states and 9 different countries around the world, mainly traveling around to all the major tournaments. I am also a writer, having written articles for several different poker magazines and collaborating on one poker book. I am an instructor for both the WPT Boot Camp and for the online company Straight Aces.I live in the Seattle area but spend most of my time traveling to tournaments and poker related events.

My Interests

Play Online PokerPoker - I play it constantly, everyday. Snow and water skiing - whenever I find the time. Hiking and camping - I love to do those things with my daughters. Diving - I got certified last year in Aruba and I am falling in love with it. Hunting - I love bowhunting for any kind of big game animal, as well as birdhunting.

Television:

I am rarely home so I have a DVR, similar to Tivo. My favorite shows are: The Amazing Race, Survivor, 24, The Shield, The Sopranos, My name is Earl, The Office, Scrubs, Lost, and several others. When I return home after being gone for a few weeks I usually have 50+ hours of television recorded that I have to catch up on.
