THE MONTBLANC STORY It all started out when guitarist Arnie was showing his skateboarding friend TJ a thing or two on the guitar.
When Arnie started playing an old Pink Floid melody, TJ started singing and Arnie was blown away. He had never heard anything like the gigantic voice of TJ. Arnie offerd T.J a singing part in his project band and T.J was really flatterd (he never knew he could sing at all).
He accepted right away.
At that time Montblanc was just a trio, with Arnie playing guitar, Chris on the drums and TJ doing the singing (this was the spring of 2004).
In the summer of the same year Montblanc found their bass player Lazy, who is a childhood friend of Arnie. Lazy had moved back to town after living many years on the other side of the country.
Lazy`s band Mellowdee had just split up and he didn`t mind staring rehersing the same day he was offerd the bass playing job. In fall 2004, Chris desided to leave the band. Montblanc started looking for a new drummer. They recorded alot of demo songs and made alot of new material.
In the spring of 2005, Marcus joined the group. He had just gotten home from a year in Thailand, and was ready to do some hard drumming. Montblanc recorded a demo in May of 05, called "Blue flames". A couple of songs on the demo were played on national radio several times.
During the summer/fall of 05, Montblanc played several conserts and festivals in Norway. When winter came, Montblanc recorded their first EP called "Things I adore". It was released in the spring of 2006.
If Montblanc comes to a town near you, come to the show and be amazed.
Their epic pop music will blow you away.
