Crucible of the Damned. What are we supposed to say here? To put into words what the past four years of this band's existence has meant to each individual member, both past and present, would be next to impossible. The trials associated with being in a "local" band are as tedious as they are common. When you really dissect it though, the people we've met and grown to love (and despise), the unbelievable bands we've gotten to play with, the most jacked up out of the way places we've gotten to travel to in the worst weather imaginable to play to five people for twenty bucks, these are the reasons we do this. We love this style of music in all it's forms. Period. We always strive to put everything that we feel, everything that we know, and everything we dream of into what we play, and that being said, the music comes first. Sometimes even at the expense of everything else, because sometimes, the music is all you have. When you're in an unsigned band, and you work a day job for eight hours a day, sometimes more, sometimes less, doing something you don't like, why wouldn't you devote at least as much time and energy to something you love? This is rule number one. The goal of this band always has been and always will continue to be to play music that we enjoy listening to. We don't consider ourselves to be anything other than just metal. It's that simple. Our music doesn't require you to wear a uniform to enjoy it, it doesn't require you to have heard a certain band before anyone else did, it doesn't require you to worship satan (unless you want to, that's fine, too), be straight edge, or a drug addict, whatever. All it requires is at least one working ear, and an appreciation for metal. Once again, we can't say it enough. This weekend, go out and see a local metal show. It doesn't matter where, just do it. These bands do this for you. Show them support any way you can, and, shit, maybe even start a band of your own. Whatever it takes to keep underground metal alive.
