About Gilbert

I am an artist, a creator if you like. I concoct fictional ideas in my imagination and then I bring them into our collective reality to be observed, admired, or despised. I do this by outlining my idea on a sheet of paper with pen and ink. Sometimes I mold my idea out of clay or I build it out of wood and nails. Perhaps I weave my idea out of notes, rhythms, and lyrics in a cacophony of auditory bliss or pain. I can express myself in any medium that I can wield. I make things real that did not exist before. I am a creator, an artist if you like...
That being said, I am working on several projects. I am currently doing special effects make-up with a company based in Texas called RANCID HOUSE . I have worked on the film "Closet Space" for Mel House, "Sway" for Josh Vargas, "The Cutting Room" for Travis Amons, as well as a short film called "ZombiNation" for Wayne Slaten. I have also contributed to a music video for Jonah Matranga and Mel House as well as a photo shoot for Necrobilia. I am working on scripts, story boards, doing t-shirt designs, and working on an album.
I went through tough times awhile back. It took a bit to claw my way back up to being a productive member of society, but I did. I am reacquiring all of my old resources slowly but surely. Now I am on top again where I can more easily guide my life in the right direction to knock out my goals like bowling pins lined up before me. Wish me luck. After all, a wise man once said, "I get by with a little help from my friends." I tend to think he was right.
