KingBullit

The Spunktastic Breakbeaterist

About Me

Often referred to as the Gordon Ramsay of breaks, KingBullit is creator of the Beat Dauphinoise; Thick creamy beats poured over thinly sliced percussion, lightly seasoned and slow cooked to perfection. Ideally served with a chunk of bass or a lightly dressed melody.
KingBullit is the alter ego of someone not important enough to mention by name. A hideous creation, bereft of social skills, whose sole purpose is to maim and destroy, whilst finding time to knock out the odd breakbeat based tune. He has worked with such non-descript talents as Machine Rock and the Spanish Buffalo's, both of whom have benefitted from his dubious input
When the consistently underachieving AFL imploded sometime around 1995, its two core members went their separate ways. One enjoyed renewed creative vigour variously as ADK Citrus, Neber Leon, Machine Rock and most recently as part of Fast Lady. The other half wandered in a creative wilderness eventually emerging in 1998 with a worthless degree in Film Studies and only one remix to his name. Over the next two years he slid further into his unremarkable quagmire until a move to Manchester in the new millennium inspired a creative regeneration and the alter ego KingBullit was born.
As with the AFL, KingBullit is a front for all forms of counter cultural terrorism, it is only the music that we are free to discuss here without risk of prosecution. The King takes breaks and samples, pulverises and injects them with "da fonk". Many a breakbeat has attempted to prosecute KingBullit under Article 3 of the Human Rights Act.
