About Me

Formed in the spring of 2004 'The Action Adventure Story' is a three-piece band with influences from grunge-rock era. We intentionally formed as a party band because at that point in our life we were bored shitless. But when we realized the stuff we were playing was relativly plausable and sounded "alreeght" we thought why not try and make something of it....and we're still trying.We wrote and recorded our first demo cd at 'Hidden Track Studio's in '05 which features 4 hench tracks and we are currently working on our first album, but hope to have another demo written and recorded before any ears hear the album...we hope you enjoy. Influences: The Cramps, Kyuss, rape, Fu Manchu, Orange Goblin, Desert Sessions, The 'kinky' Kinks, Hot Snakes, QOTSA, pillaging, Hermano, Slo Burn, Unida, Brant Bjork, burning (anything), Eagles of Death Metal, Drunk Horse. We also hold our stiffies for Sunn and most doom bands.Gordon likes some of the above but also fucking loves the Chilis, Lynyrd Skynyrd and John Otto (Bizkit) amongst others-These drummers he copies to sound good.I suppose the above bands got us into the "stoner" scene (if you like), such as Acid King, Electic Wizard 'n' Iron Monkey. Doom ain't gloomy if you percieve it in the right frame of mind! Oh yeah Cannibal Corpse 'Hammer Smashed Face' definatly hits the spot but haven't really influenced us much. ...err what else? Blood, piss, sick 'n' shit, gashes, axe wounds (hehehe), jibbing and unlawful killings. Death From Above 1979 (well good!!)
